I understand why so many are so upset over the results of this election. Your TVs and so many that believed their TVs around you all had you convinced that it was better to be led into world war three by electing more of the same establishment puppet than a wild card douchebag. Yes, the unknown variable IS a scary thing, I'll give you that.

I really do understand.

I wish people could understand why I'm so happy with the results. Clinton is corrupt. WAY too much smoke for there to not be a fire with that one. She was hellbent on getting us into another world war. I was truly terrified. I was in a position of "I'll be happy with ANYONE but her in office." Hence, I'm happy. I am making a choice to be happy. I COULD bitch about my beloved Libertarian Party offering up Johnson as our nominee. I COULD bitch about the American people still clinging to a two party system so passionately that there wasn't even a tiny splash made by ANY third party this year (outside of just a handful of states, anyway). I COULD bitch about many things. However, I'll find the silver lining in the reality that I now have anecdotal evidence that the voting process isn't rigged. Sure, it's obvious that the News is rigged, half the alternative media is rigged, not even half the country turned out to vote, and a long list of other "meh" stuff. But at least I know now that "the fix wasn't in".

My gawd, I just watched months of lies, exaggerations, collusion and yellow journalism. I was CONVINCED that I would wake to a country run by the most corrupt candidate I've ever seen ... and we're talking freaking OPENLY corrupt. Brazenly corrupt. But that didn't happen. I was in shock. It took me many hours to process this reality. For the first time in a while, I actually have hope again. Do I think that Trump is some kind of super hero that will save us all? Not at all. I feel he is a wild card. There really is no telling what's going to happen in the next couple of years and I'm ok with that. Not knowing is far better than knowing for a fact that we're going to engage in war with the largest super power on the planet next to ourselves.

I have to say, this was truly a unique experience. The mainstream media spun this so hard that it literally drove Trump supporters to become invisible. By spinning him into "literally Hitler" and constantly attacking his supporters, the majority of them went radio silent. The media told them, "You're going to have to ghost in this election." So, the DNC looked at the numbers and thought they had it in the bag. They got over confident. They didn't account for the vast numbers of people that just stopped responding. A LOT of people just let everyone else bully around on social media and around water coolers at work and chose to save their battle for voting day.

I'll take the unknown variable over the guaranteed misery any day of the week. You folks never know, he might end up being the greatest leader of our time. I'm not expecting that outcome, but that's the thing with a wild card; You just never know until it's played.

Sadly, I'm already expecting a fair portion of our society to globally embarrass us like the "remain" camp did Britain in Brexit. That's fine, just try to not make us all look like complete idiots while you burn things down in your tantrum, please.

In closing; The process isn't as rigged as many of us thought. That is a GOOD THING! I'm a little less cynical and misanthropic today.

Dear disaffected Democrats: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our social tolerance delightful. However in exchange for this, you're going to have to find a way to be ok with people keeping their guns and more of their money.

Dear disaffected Republicans: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our small government economic policies to your liking. However in exchange you will have to find a way to be ok with "the gays" getting married.

Snacks are on the table, help yourself. Please introduce yourself to someone on "the other side", you might be astonished just how much you actually have in common.
