A visual of "why we have an electoral college"

I've noticed a lot of people challenging the electoral college, and I can understand why, there are some changes that should be made (like electors should be bound to their states choice).
Over the past day I've found myself trying to explain in simple terms why the electoral college protects the people. Many people have a hard time understanding it and these images really put it in a better prospective.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there in case someone was struggling to understand or needing a visual to help someone understand.
