If the poor guy have to pay so does the rich guy. They have come to have more than they need. The money was really a tax on them to help the ones at the bottom because they could not afford to put money back for retirement, they did pay in, even more than some believe but the rich paid part not as much as you would believe either but they draw out. For years they were borrowing theirs from the SS account and investing then before they retired paid the amount they borrowed right back in and drew the same amount they would have. They stopped this a few years ago, so they can borrow it out about a year or less before they retire.

Strange no little guy was told you could do this. They could have put it in nontaxable bonds. Then they too could have paid it back and drawn the same with money left over.

Why should people have to pay taxes towards fighting unconstitutional military invasions, that they don't support; or pay taxes towards 'bailout' of banks that they don't use, or pay taxes toward corporate-welfare for corporations whose products they do not use?

They ONLY pay on like $120,000 of their income.
The rest is TAX FREE.
