I've been thinking about normalcy bias and how people react with fear in their threats by threatening people with the things they're afraid of.

I know a dood who is afraid of internet stalkers (Obviously not me because "internet peeps"... Pfft) because he thinks they'll grievously assault him and my neighbor stated he'd go stabity stabity on them in some way to assure my friend he'd have people who make him feel safe in return for favors involving pot, but non sexual services...

And then I thought about what I'm scared of and what I threaten people with. "People" mostly being the voices in my head who own me anyway...

And I'm deathly afraid of systemic violence perpetrated by the state.

Normally sane people are scared of their government to more than a slight degree, but it's recently occurred to me the extreme measures they'll go to for "interesting people"...

Here's my problem.

Being a narcissist, it flatters my ego to think I'm important when I'm not really. But I'm seriously scared of what I think the Australian or American Government will do to me because of my over inflated ego and desire to think or feel "Like a big man."

I guess; everyone thinks they want to rich and powerful... Until the point when someone bigger and more powerful comes along. Then they have a sad internet moment and cry like little girls.

For once I have conflicting personal goals of my own, where I want to be a mover and shaker to satiate my ego. But I've been heavily indoctrinated to remain in the shadows of the forest and be the mushroom which fertilizes the tall oaks to make other more important people shine or stand tall.

I have no idea, I'm not even sure which tree I should fertilize...

Good. Glad to hear it. It is easy to get overwhelmed with the significant amount of fear mongering happening. I am not by any means saying this is a nothing burger. It isnt. But the deliberate campaign of misinformation by foreign fuckwads is becoming painfully apparent.

Yeah, plus the pandering by the media and the demonrats has been bugging the hell out of me! The aholes criticize everything Trump does, but have no solutions!!! I say line em up and hang them all! Grrrrrrr!

It is a shit show. I like reading the Daily Mail but they are acting like it is armageddon with their insane headlines. Irresponsible reporting everywhere.

They are under the false assumption that people still believe what they say or print!!! Too many have awakened, but they are the sleepy ones!

Well, the problem is that ppl do believe it and fall for it. Millions of ppl, even some ppl here. Facts over feelings need to prevail. Some asshole billionaire just went on a scare rant about the end of America. Shit needs to stop NOW.

People like that should not be given a platform! Ridiculous!!!

Btw, guys, I will personally share my own grocery store experience from earlier tonight. We are well stocked and prepared but I went for a fill in and because of the paranoia, I also talked to 3 different employees at 3 different major chains. For privacy, I wont say where except that is the suburbs of a major city.

Anyway, stores were stocked with food. Lots of produce in all varieties, bread being limited to 2 per customer but fully stocked. Employees were putting out more. Meat was in low supply compared to normal but I still bought steak, a whole roasting chicken, chicken breast and chicken thighs, a tube of ground sausage meat, and ground chicken. Milk and eggs were gone at one store with more due to arrive but I bought 2 gallons of milk and 2 cartons of eggs at another chain. Supply was low there but employee said trucks had been arriving daily. Canned goods were available but low, cheese and yogurt was in full supply, very little frozen foods like pizza or microwave meals but tons of ice cream. Rice and flour and sugar available. Snacks and candy available. Water and liquor available. And, perhaps, my big score I got 3 containers of Microban and I left plenty on the shelf for others. I guess people dont know what Microban is because it is new. I sprayed the bags and food before I took things inside. All employees said warehouses ARE full, trucks ARE arriving, and the only reason they are limiting food is because people are greedy pigs who buy 25 gallons of milk and 600 eggs at a time.

So, there you have it. Firsthand account.

Ah, yeah, that could probably be said for the situation in North American metropolises right now, especially NYC. People are terribly unnerved but I firmly believe this will pass and in a little while society will resume. Mind you I do not for one second believe this is from a bat. Nor do I think it is as simple as one non-Western bad actor. Pure speculation on my part, obviously. Do some digging, maybe on a place like 4(rhymes with pan) and see what ppl say.

I have done another round of fill in grocery shopping tonight at a major chain as well as going to Pet Smart and a major chain drug store and I can personally attest to most items being in stock. Only issue was frozen fruit--there was nothing except rhubarb. Yuck. No one wants rhubarb apparently.

Hugs to you from us as well. I am going to go ask Merit to grill me a hamburger. Bought those tonight. Bullshit about the supply chain being broken is just that--bullshit. If anything, grocery store peeps, truck drivers, municipal workers etc should be commended for keeping everyone healthy and fed.
