I don't think of it as controlling the shift, more like attempting to use it to bring my desired timeline closer. I see the shifts more as a convergence of timelines for a brief moment - if you are unaware you could end up in any one of them and it likely wouldn't matter much, although with your energy focused only on your current timeline you may be less likely to shift at all.

I believe that if you are aware and in the moment at the time of the shift and can focus your energy and intent toward your desired timeline, you can have some influence over which timeline you shift to.
