Same question I have been asking myself. Accident, revenge on the West or the CCP culling the Chinese overpopulation situation? Or maybe a rogue asshole who worked for one of their programs, went psycho, and let it out like some movie super villain? Who knows? So many options and players on the board that if you fall down the rabbit hole with it, you end up with more questions than you came in with.
