The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
The evil one has caused the followers of Christ to not realize who they are, God’s Chosen People.

The remnant has always been the Chosen One’s. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Daniel, the prophets, etc., all trusted by faith that the promised Messiah would atone for their sins.

The vast majority of the Israelites chose to worship other gods and were not saved.

John the Baptist, the disciples who were of the House of Israel and the House of Judah, Paul the Apostle, the 3,000 Jews who were saved on Pentecost, etc., all trusted by faith in the atoning work of Christ on the cross.

The vast majority of the Jews rejected Him as their Messiah and were lost.

Today the remnant believes in Christ’s atoning work alone, but the majority of people reject Him and are lost.

Jews forbid one another to read the New Testament, so they blind themselves to the truth about their Messiah.

There has always been a remnant who believed. The only thing that has changed is that Jesus offered His New Covenant, where He put His law in our minds and wrote it on our hearts. His remnant, His Chosen People, have always trusted by faith.

Everything that was promised to Abraham and his descendants is offered to them in the New Covenant.

A remnant has always believed by faith and were saved. The rest tried to be saved by the law and they were lost. That’s true of the Israelites, the Jews, and Gentiles today.

The promises that were made to Abraham are ultimately to those who believe by faith, not his physical descendants.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Daniel, etc. all believed that the Messiah would come and atone for their sins. We look back on that event.

Psalm 73:1 tells us that the true Israel is made up of those who have a clean heart, who are forgiven because they have a covenant relationship with the Father.

“Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are of a clean heart.“

Why do Christians focus on Jews in Israel, when the Word of God says that Jesus made both – Jews and gentiles, one church?

Ephesians 2:14-22 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both (Jew and Gentile) one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

Romans 2:28-29 tells us that a Jew is one inwardly, whose heart is circumcised.

“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.”

Romans 9:6-8 says Abraham’s fleshly descendants ARE NOT the children of God.

“For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are NOT the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.”

Galatians 3:7 tells us that ONLY those who are of faith are the children of God.

“Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.”

Galatians 3:16 tells us that the seed of Abraham is Jesus Christ.

“Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say,“And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “and to your Seed,” who is Christ.”

Galatians 3:28-29 tells us that followers of Christ (Jew and Gentile) are Abraham’s seed who receive the promises made to Abraham.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Paul is clearly telling us that true Israel, true Jews, believe by faith, and so inherit the promises made to father Abraham.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Everyone who believes in Christ by faith, are the Chosen People of God. They will inherit Holy Jerusalem when Christ returns.

No, they are not. Because Christianity is not chosen religion. Christianity is one of many paths (religions) to the same source - the one God. Both Christians and Muslims or Buddhists pray to the same God. There is only one God.

Re: The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
Something big is going on. I have noticed that I am being pulled to live and walk like Christ did. So is my husband. So are some of our family and friends. The Spirit is moving fast, and it is everywhere. My husband and I are now going to try to change and listen to God everyday. Little steps of faith. And it will be surprising to the people that know us, but we dont care.

If you feel yourself being pulled to find God, then do it. Ask Jesus to come live in your heart, and teach you. When you have tried everything else like we have, what do you have to lose? He knows our potential and He has faith for us even when we dont think we are capable of achieving anything.

Re: The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
CAN WE REASON TOGETHER?

IF the bible is our answer for our spiritual life we have to then consider, what the scriptures say about the bible.

Who had the bible, and who did not have the bible.

Then we must ask which of those persons had life, true life, the kind that Jesus promises.

I submit our life and truth comes from somewhere else, the scriptures are a road map, a plumb line...

IF that is not the case God failed a huge group who never had access to God's word (that is IF the bible is your definition of the word of God).

1). Did any of the masses have access to the bible (scriptures) in the Old Testament? NO!

2). Did any of the masses in the New Testament have access to the bible? NO!

*Could the masses read the bible if they had one? NO!

3). How many after the Resurrection, thru the dark ages had access to the bible and could read it? ZERO!

4). How many countries had "LIMITED" access to copies of the O.T. bible, in their own language? Only Israel!

5). When did the bible become available in English, the language of the masses? The mid 1550's! How many people were literate? Hardly none!

6). When was the printing press created? 1440!

* SO basically the masses (those that could read) have had a bible available to them for the last 500 yrs...

* Man has a history that spans approx 6000 years minus 500 years...

*So for 5500 years man was without the word of god...IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?

Re: The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
I think the bible (The scriptures) are from God, and contain his word, and they are true.

They are the words of God...Spoken to others in time past, and written down for us...

BUT the bible describes itself as the scriptures, and it describes something else too...

In several verses it proclaims something, and we read it and never quite see it, but it's there in full bloom...It's something different than the scriptures that we see described.

It's something that is so important to have operating in our lives, so that WE like those written about in the bible, can look each other, and say “I too have experienced that the same thing”.

What is that thing that we need to experience?

It's "THE WORD"...

It's spoken about in Gen 1, John 1, and Hebrews 4:12...

We see it described in Acts...

Peter says it happened to him, the word came to him and said rise and eat....

Phillip had the experience when the word came and told him to join himself to the chariot...

It happened to Paul when it knocked him off his horse...

And this very thing we are discussing is named for us in Revelation 19:13: "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood”: and his name is called “The Word of God."

He is NOT the bible, and the bible is NOT Him.

Re: The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
Right now those who are truly Christs Body are hidden.

Hidden from others knowing they are "REAL" believers and hidden even from themselves.

This is true, because Jesus said "Many will say Lord, Lord....and Jesus will say...Depart from me for I don't know you".

They thought they knew Jesus, they proclaimed to Jesus "Look at our works"... But Jesus said "I do not know you".

The world has only seen this true church once, 2000 years ago.

We read about them in the book of Acts. The local church, and the universal church together, for the first time.

Now we wait.

The whole creation waits, mankind waits, for this "REAL" church to be revealed...

Even God waits, for this real church being exposed to the physical churches, and to mankind.

Because this will allow a separation, and later a judgment by God.

Will this real church {man-child) be seen soon?

I think so, for in September of 2017 the "sign of Rev CH 12 occurs in the heavens...

This means "The Woman" is pregnant right now.

The man-child is not Israel or Jesus...

Why because ALL the events in the book of Revelation were prophetic, it is a book of prophecy (meaning future), it says so in CH 1... It was after the birth and resurrection of Jesus. So it's talking about the future.

Being that a woman is pregnant for 9 months, and the birth takes place in September 2017 what will we see.

Surly this child born will be mature, it won't have to grow for 33 yrs, that is why it is called the man-child...

It is also the body of Christ, but plural, meaning MANY.

It is not singular, as when Jesus came the first time, and that one singular body died on the cross.

Re: The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
God controls everything, even evil. No matter how uncomfortable that makes us it is true. Let me give you an example.

One day David says to God. "I want to build you a house." God says "No!" "But you will have a son in the future who will build me my house".

Is this true?

Yes it is, and who was this promised son, this son of prophecy, this future son, this spoken word son, this god prophesied son.

This son, was Solomon… Now watch God fulfill his own word of promise, His own prophetic word to David.

One day David was overlooking his kingdom, and while on his rooftop, he sees a beautiful woman, bathing herself. David says "who is that woman" his servant says that is Bathsheba, the wife of your servant Uriah. David says "get her for me".

Then they have relations, (fornicate and commit adultery)…And from this union surrounded by sin and deceit, comes the God promised, prophesied, spoken word, son, named Solomon.

So do we have a problem with God using sin to complete His words? Do we have a problem with God creating evil for His purposes?

How about Moses, Moses kills a man, so he can meet God at the burning bush. Consider this man that Moses killed, this man was at the right place at the right time. What if this man had chosen to take a different path to work, or had an extra cup of tea, or went to visit the pharaoh that day. No that man had to be just at the right place at the right time to fulfill God's plan and promises.
Consider Romans CH 9:

Paul sets about with a wonderful description of God's plan and sovereignty. The Jews understand Paul so well they scream "Who then can resist His will, and why does God then blame us".

And what does Paul say to them as a reply. Does Paul say "My brothers I am so sorry, you have misunderstood my point about God's sovereignty".

NO! Paul retorts, "Who are you to answer back to God".

No, they are not. Because Christianity is not chosen religion. Christianity is one of many paths (religions) to the same source - the one God. Both Christians and Muslims or Buddhists pray to the same God. There is only one God.

Re: The Followers Of Christ Are God’s Chosen People
God does NOT choose people
people choose God

Ephesians 1:4-5

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,

Muslims (or as I like to call them, desert-dwelling goat-humpers) do NOT worship the same God as Christians & Jews worship. Buddhists have NO belief in a personal god so that's just really about the most ignorant statement a person could make regarding religion. Muslims worship "Allah" ie. "Greater than..." Greater than whom? The Christian & Jewish God. Therefore, NOT the same God. That whole, "all paths lead to the same place" b.s. obviously never read a map before.
