ASMR --- is it really about "head tingles" or a semi-boring masturbation tool?

I'm not sure everyone can 'feel' asmr

Honestly I think ASMR probably works better for shyer people. The ASM response can be overridden by sexual arousal, and appears to function as a mechanism to inhibit excessive parasympathetic arousal.

I don't get the losers that treat the phenomenon as if it's porn. There's plenty of regular porn out there after all.

Some people get brain tingles like me and some don't like you. I am female and I don't get sexually turned on by watching ASMR videos in fact the opposite occurs. ASMR makes me relax so much I fall asleep. Maybe you should try ASMR videos done by guys if you are that easily turned on by pretty girls. Not all ASMR sounds produce tingles in everyone. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.

Some of the sounds are good for relaxation, sleep, anti anxiety.. I like the Ephemeral Rift channel, its completely non serious and great for combating stress or anxiety or just a sleep aid.

ASMR is massage for the brain. Just like a person might fall asleep on the massage table while getting a back massage, some people will fall asleep while their brains are getting a tingly massage from ASMR sounds. Hence the term brain tingles. That is the best way I can describe it.
