In the book of Daniel we can read one prophetic destiny that describes the beast rising as the 11 king of Rome

By the time we get to turn to the book of revelation we are told five kings have already fallen and one is .
The one that is is the 11 king of Rome Daniel was saying is the little horn
That King was The Emperor Domitian who was the 11 Emperor of Rome and the sixth Emperor of the second dynasty; five kings having fallen before him , just as the angel described to John.
So i this manner we have solved the riddle partly
For we have found The Beast That WAS
And by looking at who was the 7 Th Emperor of Rome that the angel calls , another king who must come for short time, then we Have solved another part of the riddle;

How can we be sure this is the right way to understand the Prophecy of the little horn

Well we can be sure that the 11 emperor of Rome was Emperor Domitian, and we can be sure the angel in the book of revelation tells John that Domitian is the king that id The one that now Is.
So we understand that both the prophecy of the little horn in the book of Daniel
And the Prophecy St John received are addressing the same matter of the beast and the little horn ,which are the same things.
And because we know Domitian was not the 8th king
And we know he did not rule for 1260 years
We can understand that Domitian is the beast that Was
Who uprooted three before him, killed the saints, changed times and laws , fulfilling in part Daniels Prophecy of the little horn / that beast that was

Then we can see how the beast is going to its destruction
When it comes in the 8th King
The papacy. Which ruled supreme killing the saints and changing times and laws
And uprooted three before it and ruled for 1260 prophetic days of years to the day.
Fulfilling the entire prophecy of Daniels Little horn when reading the ten kings before it not as Emperors of Rome but as the ten kings who rose at the same time the papacy took power.
In this manner we are able to understand a key prophetic occurrence concerning the beast/ little horn
