Back-asswards Canada finally bans ASBESTOS

I thought it was banned from building here already.

I thought this is the official ban of sale for the damn stuff now.

Because even though most of Europe and North America has banned its use. Developing countries like India still buy it and use it in their buildings.

"Asbestos board" is still perfectly usable in constructing buildings in Canada until 2018.

But... in 2018, you must have a plan to remove all asbestos board product from your publicly accessible buildings.

Fucking Brilliance.

Just like when I suggested to my MP that we use Trudeau's Infrastructure money to bury our power lines.
She responded that we couldn't do that because of all the line workers who would lose their jobs.

Not buying this at all. My Dad worked as a carpenter in the board of Education in Ontario back in the 70's. They removed all asbestos from the schools way back then. I think you're wrong.

Actually the federal government of Canada promoted the use of asbestos containing building materials in ALL government buildings because it kept the asbestos mines and asbestos miners in the cry baby province of Quebec from abandoning/separating from the rest of Canada.
