Your cats have an upper respiratory infection. You can try non alcoholic echinacea and goldenseal. Put 10 drops of both in 1 oz of water. Give 1-1 1/2 cc twice daily for a week. This has worked for my cats in the past.

Wouldn't you think the antibiotics the vet gave the one would have worked on upper respiratory infect? He lost another pound in two weeks. Although he doesn't seem sick, something must be wrong if he's still losing weight, no?

The antibiotics should have, but it could be a fungal infection rather than a bacterial. Have you noticed blood in your cats stool? If so, he/she may have irritable bowel syndrome? That could be causing the symptoms. Did the vet do a complete blood panel to check liver/kidney function and thyroid levels?
