This will keep your cats healthy and they wont get sick. The Peroxide adds oxygen to the body killing infections and bacteria. |

I agree with trying the amoxicillin. My shih Tzu has had UTIs before and I've treated her myself measuring carefully the dose. Hope they are all ok DRESSED IN THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD -Helmet of salvation -Breastplate of righteousness -Belt of truth -Sword of the Holy Spirit -Shield of faith -Sandals of the gospel |

You can try non alcoholic echinacea and goldenseal. Put 10 drops of both in 1 oz of water. Give 1-1 1/2 cc twice daily for a week. This has worked for my cats in the past. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70130332 Wouldn't you think the antibiotics the vet gave the one would have worked on upper respiratory infect? He lost another pound in two weeks. Although he doesn't seem sick, something must be wrong if he's still losing weight, no? |

Give it to the cats twice a day and see if they are getting better. The vet has seen the animals and knows you have sick ones, so he should be ok with it. Quoting: bigD111 I am guessing the antibiotic he gave was "stronger" (I'm assuming) than amoxicillan? I can get amoxicillin from him, tho. I think he didn't do the blood tests cause he's trying to save us money (it WAS right before Christmas, and there are a LOT of cats!). I will definitely insist on it - at least on one cat - if they don't get better pretty quick, now that EVERYONE has had these antibiotics. |

Quoting: Deplorable NO MORE Michele B I have some amoxicillin, so that's easy. I also have echinacea (I take it pretty regularly). Is it the same as people echinacea? Thank you both for your suggestions! Go to your pet store like PetSmart, or another big chain and you'll find antibiotics in the bird section and you can use that for them, its all the same. But, you will have to give them some kind of probiotics to counteract the damage you will do to their system and bring them back in balance. Hope your babies get well OP....i know the love you speak of as i love my babies like children too! “He who does not seek.... is not likely to find.” - Paracelsus Those who refuse to Self Govern will always be Governed by Others! “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” – Socrates |

Have you noticed blood in your cats stool? If so, he/she may have irritable bowel syndrome? That could be causing the symptoms. Did the vet do a complete blood panel to check liver/kidney function and thyroid levels? |

Right now he's resting on my shoulder, sucking on my fingers on one hand. Something he's done since he was a kitten! Typing with one hand is fun too, |

(OP) User ID: 28501606 United States 12/26/2016 06:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a new antibiotic for cats that lasts two weeks. It's usually used on difficult cats and may not be the best choice medicine wise. I'm thinking he should have Clavamox. Quoting: TheQueenofFrance Before you spend anymore money, call and ask to talk to the Vet. Most will usually take your call, and tell him what's going on and ask what you should do next. Good luck! I think that's the name! I think that's what the vet gave them. I know it starts with a "C," and I sort of remember him saying a word like that. I'm getting up in a minute. I'll check the bill, but that sounds right. |
