There is a new antibiotic for cats that lasts two weeks. It's usually used on difficult cats and may not be the best choice medicine wise. I'm thinking he should have Clavamox.
Before you spend anymore money, call and ask to talk to the Vet. Most will usually take your call, and tell him what's going on and ask what you should do next. Good luck!
