One of the mods (I think) posted a bunch of ideas of how to make money a while back that had some great ideas in it. One of them was to make radio commercials.. Anyone have a link to that thread?

One idea I had for myself was SEO, but that market is so saturated and filled with fraudsters; it's difficult to create a marketable presence.

New, different ideas aren't a threat to your established self employment.

I work for myself doing smaller home repair. That means painting, trim and baseboard work, drywall repairs and small bathroom remodels.

I'm very good at what I do and charge an according wage. Don't waste time working for poorer people, always keep trying to upgrade your clientel. Rich people expect to pay good money for a reliable, trustworthy service.

I've found that the decision maker of every household is the wife, and if they believe that you say, even if you're more expensive, you'll get the job.

Finally, you must listen to what your customers want, explain it back to them in your words. Then tell them how you're going to do it and how much it's going to cost. Then be true to your word!

I would imagine its tough to beat Amazon on price. Whenever I do a search the small mom & pop stores can't compete.

I could use your services to flip my house WaitTressSandwhich.. :) I bought a house when I wasn't ready, and it's a fucking boat anchor to me... My dad is a carpenter who wanted to build homes, but never succeeded so I rejected his craft and went into technology. I know nothing about doing my own remodels properly, and frankly have no interest in learning or doing that kind of work myself. I would be one of your 'poorer' people... :)

Hourly pay will seem like peanuts, but if you do it right you can actually make pretty good money. Not fuck you money, but good enough to set some back and live fairly comfortably. Especially if you're single.

I netted $15,000 in a little less than three months last year, but due to reasons I was unable to continue doing that line of work. 3,000+ miles per week, was my own boss, got to travel. It was great. I'll be getting back into that in the future just because I enjoyed it, not necessarily for the money. Oh the headaches sucked, especially east coast, but that's the price you pay. Nothing in life is free...I understand that. Got to suck it up, buttercup.

Goal: big chunk of land out west, taxes paid. Maybe a lady with me, that'd just be dandy. Though I have doubts I'll get that part accomplished.
