My best friend when growing up idolized junkies from various popular bands. He himself became a junkie. I glorified the Lord Jesus and now..

Now I do what Jesus did.

Jesus, on his behalf and in his name, taught me to discern and cast out demons, to command healing, to forgive sins on his behalf, to baptize with the Holy Spirit, and to teach others how to live a life Jesus wants for them.

My friend became a heroin addict glorifying drugs and the drug culture, trying anything and everything he could get his hands on. He never found satisfaction but almost died a few times and might be dead now.

He never sought after God to set him free but went to something he could see that put him in bondage. He never thought to get high on the Most High, or overdose on the Holy Ghost, but tried to cover over his problems with chemicals. And above all his problems was his pride, the image of being a goofy, cool cat, crazy, fun, life of the crowd guy who would do anything to entertain others but when away from the crowd did everything for the pleasure of himself.

Be careful who you idolize and remember this, they're all going to die or are already dead except 1 - Jesus, the living God.
