Companies wanted fresh grown up workers ready to go without having to pay and wait for new born to run through years of educational system get ready. Instead 90% evaded work went into wellfare. Idiotic mistake by the administration. No they pay for both, the newborn and the lazy ones. Politically they may have thougth that immigrants tend to vote left or liberal. That way they could have shrunk right wingers proportionaly and avoid their success. Instead they now face existential threat of foreign agendas risking to loose it all. The way Germany thinks and acts is indeed absolutely catastrophic. |

I was on Wolf Blitzer, very fair interview, the first time I was ever asked about NATO, because I wasn't in government. People don't go around asking about NATO if I'm building a building in Manhattan, right? So they asked me, Wolf . . . asked me about NATO, and I said two things. NATO's obsolete—not knowing much about NATO, now I know a lot about NATO—NATO is obsolete, and I said, ‘And the reason it's obsolete is because of the fact they don't focus on terrorism.’ You know, back when they did NATO there was no such thing as terrorism.” WTF did he just say? First, Trump admits that he said things on the campaign trail about matters that he didn’t know anything about. Second, Trump claims that NATO didn’t focus on terrorism, which is entirely false. (NATO invoked Article 5, its provision for collective defense, on September 12, 2001.) Finally, there is the fact that the president of the United States thinks there was “no such thing as terrorism” until recently, which is too patently absurd to bother refuting. |
