JEFF BRIDGES SAYS PROTESTERS NEED TO GIVE TRUMP A CHANCE

Jeff Bridges sounded similar to his “Big Lebowski” character “The Dude,” when he offered his take on President Donald Trump and the protests that have been going on since his inauguration.

Bridges was discussing his Oscar nominated film “Hell or High Water,” when he offered his comments of peace and acceptance under the new leadership in the United States. Although Bridges rambled on as The Dude does, it seems his point was — like it or not — Donald Trump is now our president and protesting won’t change that.


We point fingers at people, we point fingers at Trump, he points fingers at people,” Bridges told CNN. “How are we going to come together and realize that we’re on this little dust spec in space, you know? Things are finite here, you know? How are we going to work together to make the most beautiful existence that we can, you know?” Bridges pondered.

The “Hell or High Water” star also urged people to hold themselves accountable and refrain from forcing their own opinions on other people as truth.

“That’s what I think is needed today, to kind of put a check on ourselves and knowing what’s right or wrong and being so sure that Trump is an asshole and that he’s going to be terrible and all this,” Bridges continued.
