The bill introduced to the US House of Representatives proposes doubling the minimum salary of H-1B visa holders to $130,000 from $60,000. Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, introducing the bill, said it would stop companies "replacing" American workers. India's foreign ministry said it had expressed concern to the US. The ones that had to train their foreign replacements IN AMERICA to do their jobs while they got laid off! I hope they just say no. HELL No! Along with manufacturing jobs America needs to bring back its call centers too. The more Americans that work the more money pumped into the local economy. People have money to tip or go shopping, see a Dr, go out to eat, invest in hobbies see a movie etc etc if they have a j*o*b! If a chain restaurant gets your $30 for breakfast that money goes out of state maybe out of country to corporate board holders. But hey its only $30 right? If a local eatery gets the $30 it goes to get a hair cut at lunch time, that same $30 is used by the beautician to take a cab home, that cabbie pays his babysitter she spends it at a local night club on cocktails next morning the clubs owner has breakfast spends it locally on eggs and hash browns etc see the difference buying locally vs corporate? Locally we all get action on one $20 and one $10. Buying locally helps the whole community. I wish people understood this concept especially liberals. The reason we are all broke is the stock holders have all of our money aka 1%. We need to feed the locals...buy local please it is your own ass u are making poor when u don't. Do u think the corporate stock holder is investing that $30 in the local economy. No it is sitting in a tax shelter while parents need babysitters (job creation) and nights out but ate too broke to contribute locally. This is the bed we all made when we let Walmart as and other big chains take over. It is the same mistake we make when we allow these big companies to destroy their American workers Libes to save a few bucks and replace them with foreigners. |

It is the same mistake we make when we allow these big companies to destroy their American workers Libes to save a few bucks and replace them with foreigners. Also if the corporation gets the money it will be hidden overseas in tax shelter while we all wait on it to resurface but it won't. How much tax is owed? Zero (its in a tax shelter overseas) In the above example how much tax is owed on the same $30 in one day only? The egg breakfast restaurant owes $10 (30%) the hairstylist owes $10, the cab driver owes $10, the babysitter owes $10, the night club owner more then $10 (sales tax). So that's $50 tax revenue in one day off $30? Where is that money coming from? Thin air? Now do u see why libertarians are against income tax? Also that is a huge difference in local tax dollars which build bridges. If u buy local everything around u gets better even the bridges. No wonder all the bridges are collapsing along with the economy. America where did the money go? U didn't buy local. Tsk tsk. |
