Belief isn't a scientific way to frame it. Science assumes a material universe and has nothing at all to say about metaphysics. Prima facie fail.

Robert Monroe already figured out why loosh or energy. In his astral travels he discovered the universe and everything in it was created so higher level beings could feed off it and extend their lifespan. Makes sense we inside the universe do this as well to each other.

In which of his books did he make that claim? I don't recall coming across that in 'Far Journeys'... Also, what do you mean by 'lifespan'? Why would non-physical, energetic 'beings' have a limited lifespan that would need to be extended?

The hard code of a video game program doesn't make the 3D expression of it any less "real".

Just because our universe was most likely originally expressed 2 dimensionally (as in "the WORD of GOD" or, if you prefer, "the hard code") that doesn't mean the 3D aspect is necessarily a "simulation" in the sense that it is illusory.
