I noticed this - he basically almost hid her from view during the inauguration, maybe not purposely because he is so large - but he was clearly at her side.
I thought it was odd all things considered.

Wonder if some point we will learn the truth about her situation.

I believe its not that we missed it as much as they panned the camera excluding them, you know the media, hiding the real facts as best as they can. glad someone found this
