Does that clause last the entire 4 years of a term or will my right to an opinion and the expression thereof be reinstated in 2 years when the seats are up for consideration? Where exactly is this clause outlined so that I can read it myself and understand it's applicable variables to my situation? Dear disaffected Democrats: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our social tolerance delightful. However in exchange for this, you're going to have to find a way to be ok with people keeping their guns and more of their money. Dear disaffected Republicans: Welcome to the Libertarian Party, we think you will find our small government economic policies to your liking. However in exchange you will have to find a way to be ok with "the gays" getting married. Snacks are on the table, help yourself. User ID: 77586174 United States 03/28/2022 09:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i found this thread sorta' by accident. This OP says what i sensed about Trump as well. C'mon, i just saw him as an entertaining "You're fired!" guy, and surely didn't take him seriously, even after he rode down that escalator announcing he was going to run for President. It wasn't until he was on stage with umpteen other Republican candidates, and said what NO other candidate would touch with a 10 foot pole, that i started paying attention. Then, incredibly, all of those candidates started falling, one-by-one, like dominoes (actually "flies" is more descriptive, no?) That is when i realized that the "You're fired!", Mr. Entertainment man himself, was a leader, and not afraid to stand, even if he stood alone, and that he was a "fighter". Well c'mon, the man is from New Yawk. And you GOTTA be a bit fearless and have "swag" and be willing and able to fight just to survive. So there he was, Mr. New Yawk, "salty" language n' all, a bonafide leader, and crazy enough to step into that ring. i've never flinched since. Anonymous Coward User ID: 80475309 United States 03/28/2022 11:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ugh, I can't really say what I want to talk about in a header clearly. Quoting: Sir Phydeau I didn't like Trump. Like as a dude. He's always kinda annoyed me even if I agreed with him a lot of the time over the many years I've groaned when I heard his voice. You ever meet someone that just something about their face, their voice ... just them being them, even though they do nothing wrong, they just annoy the shit out of you? Well, that's been my relationship with "The Don" over the last couple of decades. So, when I was faced with the most corrupt family in politics I've ever known making a 2nd run at the White House vs "Ugh, this fucker again!" I checked out of the election. I'm a libertarian by nature and have pretty much always considered myself a supporter of the Libertarian Party but they really fudged the bucket this cycle with Johnson as the nominee. *sigh* So, that was off the table. Anyway, I digress. When Clinton didn't win, I nearly wept. With fucking joy. I was sooooooo terrified of that cunt taking office. When I saw this man hit the ground running doing every fucking thing he said he was going to do ... I was in stunned amazement. I can see the direction he's walking and I want to go in that direction, even if I have to follow that fucking orange shit. At least he's fucking honest. I don't like his gigantic ego. Never had. But that ego is too big to be bought. THAT IS MORE VALUABLE THAN GOLD. I LOVE that. So, I've bought what Trump's selling. This puts me in an unfamiliar position; I've never given a shit about anyone in office before. Hell, I've wanted some of them to fail spectacularly out of spite. Now I do. I'm not worried about him being assassinated because of his brilliant pick of a creationist as a veep. Genius. No SJW or rogue lefty would EVER put a creationist at the helm, it's their worst nightmare. I'm worried that the recent boom in the markets is a rapid inflation of a bubble that the establishment is threatening to pop to put him on a leash. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they'd crash the economy to stop him. How the hell do people fight that? It took four paragraphs to say you are wishy washy? |
