Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68473111 Exactly im not getting his point, gasses on fire contracting inside strange gravity fields creating light? If you zoom in close enough its so far away you start to pick up parts of the lenses you are using to view it in the first place. |

You have shown your ignorance "Your stupid video" ....well, no. Its not my video. Its a video I found very interesting so I thought I would share it here to see if someone could find an explanation for the obvious deception. "doesn't tell us what we are seeing" - the video is self explanatory unless you are unfortunate enough to have had your common sense replaced with Asperger syndrome. The word "stars" in the title pretty much sums it up for the non mentally challenged. Also the word "Sirius" is clearly displayed in red right beside the object of question. Lastly, this post has absolutely 0 (zero) as in NOTHING to do with the shape of the earth. So the "flat earth" comment wont derail the post. Old tactic, played out. Now go find Asstrolshill and tinker with each others "telescopes". As for every one else that has remained respectful, thank you. You deserve respect in return. "Real eyes realize real lies" |

Does Nasa use $30 Walmart telescopes on the space shuttle? Explain how a $30 walmart telescope produces the very exact same "out of focus" object that you can clearly see is the same object in the focused Nasa video? Anonymous Coward User ID: 7364390 Italy 02/08/2017 04:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone with an amateur telescope/ binoculars can tell you these video's are rubbish. Nothing more than an out of focus star. Through a telescope they look exactly as they do with the naked eye. Try it for yourself before embarrassing yourselves further. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7364390 Italy 02/08/2017 04:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Someone even had a video like this and showed Venus appearing like the out of focus stars too. All I can say is, look at venus for yourself through binocs or telescope, you will see for yourself these vids are BS. Venus looks like a small moon with phases through a telescope. This is probably the easiest thing to disprove. Try it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 7364390 Italy 02/08/2017 04:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Take a look at this video. Quoting: Alexander Putin What is that "thing" at the 2:06 mark of the video? Wtf I believe we have been lied to big time. That 'thing' at 2.06 is a shot that is so out of focus you can even see the 4 arms that are holding the mirror in the middle of the shot. If in focus, you would not see this. It is focussed for very near viewing, which is why you can almost see the internals of the scope itself. |

Attacking posters for insulting you (which is fair enough) byt then insulting them in the next sentence. This is not a very inteligent responce dont you think? I agree NASA lies, but these videos are BS. Anyone who has used a telescope to look at the sky knows this. There are literally millions of us that know this. |

You can see the four spines holding the secondary mirror. The black dot in the middle is the secondary mirror. At 1:48 the black rectangle (the focuser going into the telescope tube) is at the 10/11 o'clock position. When the focuser is moved in, the image gets into focus (2:02). When further moved in, the image gets out of focus again and the black rectangle changes to the 4/5 o'clock position. This patter is used by amateur astronomers to collimate a mirror telescope - the collimation is of, when the black dot (secondary mirror) is not centered. Google: "telescope collimation" and you will find a lot of these images Some videos: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] . 2012Portal - Mayan Beyond 2012 User ID: 15022013 Netherlands 02/08/2017 05:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is the objects (star, planet, etc) signature. Here is Sirius as well, with a different recording device: It is shaky, but FREEZE frame it and you see a VERY similar pattern, signature as in the OP's video: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] But, Sirius is not "a star" it is a group of stars: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] "What the naked eye perceives as a single star is a binary star system, consisting of a white main-sequence star of spectral type A1V, termed Sirius A, and a faint white dwarf companion of spectral type DA2, called Sirius B. The distance separating Sirius A from its companion varies between 8.2 and 31.5 AU" [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] So there is MORE then meets the EYE with Sirius. AKA, the Dog Star, BTW. AND, famous from this ancient tribe in Africa- Mali, Africa The Dogan Sirius Star People [link to 2012portal.myfeedportal.com] Anyway, back to this video from OP... Now look at this video of Jupiter and it's moons: Look at the 0:26 second mark- [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] But then you look at a telescope (backyard sort) with a camera hooked up to it and you get this: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] and this; [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] So my point is. One is a signature, like in the OP's video and the other's are like a true impression of the star (or star systems) or planets with a telescope.
