Although there is no blacked out or redacted information in this year's Need Assessment, there is this statement in the preface and again on page 21:

"The details of the CNA project and results are summarized in a series of reports submitted to
FERC and DSOD that contain sensitive Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) and
therefore cannot be released to the public for homeland security reasons."

So, it is a public document omitting public safety information. 90% of it is gibberish describing why the document was needed, methods used to determine that and other such BS.

Record low elevation is 645 feet (1977).

'Dead Pool' elevation is 604', at which point the power plant intakes run dry.

Below dead pool, the only available outlets to maintain river flow are the low flow valves, which may still be inoperable.

We are still early into the Nor Cal rainy season, so conditions could change between now and March.

For now, DWR continues to hide behind 'Homeland Security' to conceal the flaws and deficiencies of this structure from the public. Oroville Dam is a ticking bomb.
