Justed wanted to stop in and say: "STAY SAFE Crunch"

Busy as can be but did look at the numbers 2 or 3 times a day over the last 4 days and will say I AM SHOCKED that the DWR has AGAIN let the water inflow go so high without opening up the spillway to more ... thus taking the lake up to a very high level.

Having watched the previous incompetence by the California DWR wrt to this dam/spillway I would have thought that they would have been more aggressive on the water release front considering how much water is sitting above the dam and subject to a sudden rain water melt situation .. AGAIN!!

From my perspective the DWR is AGAIN effectively OUT of Flood Control Capacity wrt the Oroville. Yes I know that on paper there is "still" a bunch of capacity left but we all know how quickly that can be eaten up once the inflows go up over 100,000 cf/s, as they probably WILL if a solid rain event comes down on that huge snow pack that is sitting above the dam.

OK ... done my bit to BASH the California DWR. I just have to wonder where they find the idiots that they hire to run that division. (and I bet NONE of them live in the flood plain that sits below this dam - they wouldn't risk their own families' lives by living there)
