So when will the sign of Revelation 12 be fulfilled, the sign that portends the birth of the Holy Spirit as a separate being and as the other Paraclete promised by Christ?

Revelation 12: 1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.

The great heavenly sign of Revelation 12 is an astronomical sign to help us determine the month and day of this special event. The Woman refers to the constellation Virgo, and the Sun clothing the Woman with the Moon under her feet signifies the new Moon occurring at the constellation Virgo.

The word Virgo is Latin for virgin. However, this word is also probably related to another Latin word Virga, which means 'a young shoot, or twig'. And this is why Virgo is often drawn with a staff or rod in her right hand and an ear of wheat in her left hand. I interpret the rod and ear of wheat which Virgo holds in her hands as representations of the prophesied Rod and Branch of Jesse.
