Bitcoin value surpasses gold for first time in cryptocurrency’s history -- Bit-tards, we ride!
The price of one Bitcoin, now $1,270, surpassed the price of an ounce of gold, now $1,230, for the first time in history on Thursday, a milestone some investors said solidifies the currency as "digital gold."

FLASHBACK, 2013: Max Keiser--Bitcoin as a central bank slayer and a privacy commodity

"Bitcoin has made a move from the $5 to $6 per Bitcoin range to now it’s at $46, heading a lot higher. It’s up 200% this year. There are many Bitcoin millionaires now, myself included, that have become Bitcoin millionaires based on this historic move from $5 or $6, to now $46, up 200% this year."

So, Bitcoin is 27x the value it was in 2013. Assuming it continues to rise, say 10x it's value in 4 years, that's $10,000 per Bitcoin.

The thing about Bitcoin is, you can use it to buy stuff. Just look at gyft.com -- You can use Bitcoin to buy digital gift certificates for almost anything: [link to www.gyft.com (secure)]

Amazon, Home Depot, Southwest Airlines, Starbucks, Whole Foods, etc -- They all offer gift cards for sale that you can use Bitcoin to pay for.

The easiest (and most private) way to buy Bitcoin? [link to localbitcoins.com (secure)]
Use cash, meet someone selling Bitcoin in person (make sure they have good reviews) and transfer them to your smartphone. If you're new to Bitcoin, the seller will probably be really excited to show you everything you need to know to make that happen. It's not difficult, but there's a learning curve for anyone doing something new, right? (it's like going from only-ever using cash to online banking and debit cards for most people).

The smart Bitcoin users do this:

1) Take a small percentage of your weekly pay, say 10%, and meet up with someone in your area selling Bitcoin, and purchase some with cash. Whatever you can afford, however little.

2) Use Bitcoin to buy stuff you need by buying digital gift cards from gyft.com (for example, I buy my groceries with Whole Foods gift cards from gyft.com)

3) Repeat

Assuming you don't spend all 10% on the stuff you need each week, you're investing in something that potentially could make you some money in the future, as the price of Bitcoin rises.

You're also giving a big middle finger to the Federal Reserve, going off-grid with your money.

I've been doing this for years now. The only thing that sucks is when the volatile price of Bitcoin swings down. Full disclosure: THAT HAPPENS. The price of Bitcoin could be $1,200 today, then $600 in a week. The thing is, if you look at the Bitcoin charts (linked below), it's been trending upwards in the long run. You just have to be patient, and not panic.

Aaaaaand, yes, Bitcoin could certainly be the digital currency that sets humanity on the path towards a cashless society. It's our duty to resist government interference with Bitcoin. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, BIT-TARDS, WE RIDE!

Which currency do you use? Have you seen what's happened to the dollar over the last 10, 20, 50, 100 years?

YAWN.

If you're using the dollar, you're getting FLEECED by rapid inflation. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has risen in value 2700% in 4 years.

Is there risk involved? OF COURSE!

That's why I say, be conservative. Buy whatever you can afford to lose. But, keep in mind, Bitcoin is MONEY, it's NOT solely an investment.

It did! And those of use who believed in it backed-up the truck, and now we have grocery money for 5 years. Like I said, it's volatile. It dips. That's why you have to be conservative about buying it. Only use a small amount of your pay to purchase it. When the price falls, buy and hold. When it rises, spend!
