You didn't open your mouth until you knew you were ready for the other person to take enough offense they'd probably challenge you to a duel with swords. Quarter? No quarter? That was it. We're all living way too long for being such pussies, IMHO.

Everything has consequences. We are living consequences of decades of complacency now. It could bring a certain integrity back to public office; fear based, but with an end result.

Maybe we need to bring back tar and fathers and public shaming in stockades in town square.
