Turner Classic Movies - Intro Decoded

Classic movies are just about all I can stand to watch anymore.

So here I am seeing the intro they use before nearly every film and which they have been using for years and this is how I interpret it:

1- Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron dancing in An American In Paris.
Americans liberate Europe at WWII and the women are booty. Life is good and everyone can go back to dancing.
Paris is set up as the premiere city in the world for all that is beautiful and pleasurable.

2- King Kong is holding the top of the enpire state building.
A large threat looms over free people as the dark continent's Kong topples peace and freedom in the post-911 world.

3- Bringing Up Baby
Katherine Hepburn chases and gets Cary Grant with pure manipulation, derailing all his plans with her feminist ways.
The tiger symbolizes the jungle we now live in and the cradle (shown in black and white not sepia like the other images) is empty.
Meanwhile, Paris, that glittering dream, is being flooded by Kong's terrorist squad.

4- She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
John Wayne, hat in hand, looks grim as one of his fellow cavalrymen calls the trumpet. It's time to get down to cleaning up the mess, if that is even possible.Everything has gone to hell in a handbasket.

5- The Ten Commandments
The evil rulers of Egypt are back on top again.
It's going to require a higher power to free the little people from a life of slavery and oppression and it will not be easy or pretty. Pharaoh is not going to let the people go even if it means sacrificing all his resources.

There it was right in front of us all the time.
