AZ Legislature FINALLY Passes Convention of States Resolution - Need More States to Get On Board

For those who don't know what this is...a convention of states:

The Constitution’s Framers presciently foresaw the day when an overbearing, overtaxing, over-regulating federal government would be out of control, and they left Article V as the remedy for We the People to exercise

...When 34 states have filed the resolution with Congress, a convention MUST be allowed to be held whether Congress likes it or not. Proposed amendments from the convention will be offered to the states, and when a 38th state legislature ratifies any one of the amendments, the Constitution is so amended at that very instant.

Article V (Part 2) of the US Constitution actually gives state legislatures the power to amend the US Constitution without the permission or approval of Congress, the President, or the Supreme Court.

Actually, Mark Levin - love him or hate him - has been spear heading this for quite a while...and especially NOW.

Having been with a natural blond woman for the first time, and previously having been only with brunettes, i can understand what you are saying. Every brunette i was with bad mouthed blondes....i soon found out it was pure jealousy. They also seemed very insecure when around blondes (esp. natural blondes), and had bad attitudes as a result. My natural blonde girlfirend, on the other hand, is so much better as a person...probably because she never had any insecurities about her looks, but had to deal with brunettes' jealousy, and guys afraid to ask her out for fear of rejection (even though, trust me, anywhere i go w/ her every heterosexual guy around turns around and stares at her w/ lust). First off, this thread is really confusing, more than half the posts have nothing to do with the OP in any regard.

However, I don't understand the negative attitudes towards a constitutional convention of the states with the potential for making an amendment or two to the constitution.

If I had my druthers, term limits for all federal house representatives and senators would be added to the Constitution.

There are probably some other things that could be discussed and added, since the federal gov't over the past 20 years has done their best to whittle away the individual states rights in terms of education, gun ownership, abortion, and other things.

I guess I can understand not trusting your governor or state legislature (believe me, I live in the communist state of NJ, so I GET it), but it wouldn't just be your individual state taking part in the constitutional convention. It would be all 50, and they would all have a dedicated purpose to push back against the over reaches of our federal gov't.
