Quoting: GMTG ive got mach3 on the 2 mills i have and putting together a lathe soon old warner swasey m1200 have an old anilam 2 axis slide thing used to convert manual lathe to cnc but im replacing the old dc servos with some a/c ones and using mach3 Yep! Mach 3 isnt perfect, but for what I use it for it works just fine. I'd like to replace the old stepper motors on the Bridgeport, but ac servos and drives aren't cheap. The Abyss stares back... The old steppers like to stall out sometimes and it loses position as there is no encoder on the motor shaft. Its a bitch when Z stalls then thinks it needs to feed the full length down to the part, my vise jaws have taken a few hits!!! Haha. Thanks again, man!
