Polygraph Tests For All Politicians

Hillary would submit herself. She openly admitted laughing that she lost any trust on the polygraph when her client who was a pedophile offender passed the test.

Society seems to be increasingly harder on the common man or woman for jobs considered much lesser. Everything from background screens, drug testing, even access to personal private information. All to gain a job that pays less than immigrants at times. Pretty soon I would imagine private industry will start polygraphing and perhaps even putting a chip in new hires. I suppose to track every thing they do right down to their bowel movements. So why should a United States politician be paid more to represent The United States without at least the same or more strict scrutiny in hiring?

Agree op. I've said the same for years.

All politicians should be subject to random polygraph tests by an independent CIVILIAN authority. And random drug tests.

Polygraph tests have a success rate of 60%. You might as well be tossing a coin

The only problem with tossing is you need to make sure you get your coin back from the politician afterwards. And if the coin hits the ground and you ask the politician if he or she seen where the coin went they will say it must have went down a sewer drain all the while walking off dragging one foot. But a polygraph is better than the alternatives. I would expect as the polygraph equipment becomes more advanced it could provide an even better edge as long as the ability to lie doesn't advance equally so.

& a test to determine whether or not they're a narcissist as narcs flock in droves to jobs of importance & can cause untold damage, which reminds me what's the latest clusterfuck out of mr toupee's fat mush?

It's a great idea but it will never happen.

Many, many people have wanted to impose term limits on congressmen and senators for years. It hasn't happened. The reason is simple; the legislative branch would have to vote the bill in and impose it upon themselves. That will never happen.

Take the insider trading ban as an example. Many in congress used information they gathered from executive sessions to play the stock market. Even though the bill was passed by wide margins in the house and senate, it served merely as an instrument to placate the masses and whitewash the problem.

The SEC I has a de facto ban against investigations.

Politicians are born liars. Liars easily beat polygraph tests. Easily.

Politicians should be required to wear portable polygraphs strapped to themselves at all times.

Its easy for sociopaths to pass lie detectors.

Truth serum; can't trust polygraphs.

Lying comes naturally for sociopaths.

Polygraph is mostly a hoax. What I would like to see is IBM's Big Blue or Watson fact checking live on a scrolling subtitle as politicians are interviewed on TV.
