How is it that Adam Schiff Can Get Away With Basing His Entire Case On Christopher "Golden Showers" Steele?

Am I missing something here?

Hasn't Steele already been unmasked as the former MI6 agent who peddled the "Golden Showers" dossier to McStain, et al?

In his "Opening Statement" (or "testimony" in his mind), Schiff introduces Steele as "a former British intelligence officer who is reportedly held in high regard by U.S. Intelligence".....

After Schiff's Statement, where was the outcry from the Republicans and their disclosure of Steele's already tainted involvement in this "Dog and Pony Show"?
