I read Bannons statement. Trump has a history of letting people go when they have finished their role and not a one of them has spoken ill of the man, so I know they weren't "fired". If Bannon leaves, it won't be because of threats or animosity. It will be mutual. Headlines are just silly.

Bannon, as I understood it, was a temp fill in a spot until a permanent placeholder could be vetted.

Expect much of this, as that is what a CEO does and Trump behaves like the CEO who has taken over a company, not like a typical politician. Very different tactics. Think "hostile takeover" of a bankrupt company and you start to see the picture.

I never met trump, but have been in a company that was taken over and also read about the same, after seeing it. Will never forget the fury of the old staffers when the new management's Son-in-Law or nephew took over our department and read the WSJ and drank coffee. Occasionally barked out a few generally-worded orders to carry on....

For a few weeks, while they found the right guy for the job. In retrospect, it was hysterical. But we were young and dumb.

Perhaps it will be partitioned, as West Germany still is today, while somewhat self-governing (there's a British sector, a French and an American).

You know the neocon playbook, as do I, but I'd bet you don't know how many players are in Syria now, both countries and individual rebel groups. It changes almost daily. Only experts on the ground have a clue what's going on there. I follow the news on the ground daily.

The number of players is in the dozens now. Think on that, and wish those who want to stabilize the area good luck. They'll need it!
