If Trump thought that the Syrians were truly behind the chemical attack, he would never have contacted Russia "numerous" times throughout the day thereby giving Russia AND ASSAD time to scramble all their military aircraft and personnel to safe locations.

Instead, he would have made sure to truly cripple Assad's Air Force as well as its command and control centers and attempt to target Syrian personnel likely behind the gas attacks.

No, Trump knew that Putin knew that Trump was under massive pressure to respond to the "chemical weapons attack" due to the false neocon-driven "Russian Collusion" story which has been peddled non-stop for months now by the Mockingbird MSM, the NWO globalist puppets in Congress as well as their European counterparts.

Putin knows that this cabal has been deadly serious in its efforts to undermine Trump's Presidency and that its has been trying to gin up enough evidence to support articles of impeachment.

One only has to go back and review "Shifty's" opening statement on the first day of hearings of the House Select Committee on Intelligence on the Russian Probe and the DIMs line of questioning of Comey and Rogers that day in order to understand this.

Shifty and his colleagues were hell-bent that day to layout the dangers of Donald Trump not only to our Country but to our NATO alliances as well. They treated the issue of collision as a foregone conclusion. The hearings were nothing but a pre-impeachment exercise in their minds.

Accordingly, Putin correctly interpreted Trump's multiple warnings about the pending cruise missile strike. Putin knew that Trump was telling Putin that he, Trump, needed political "cover" immediately but that he that he wanted TO MAKE SURE that no Russians were harmed.

I'm sure that Putin smiled over Trump's unexpectedly shrewd political instincts and now has a new-found respect for the "businessman turned President." Putin realized that the loss of a Syrian airbase was well worth keeping the White House out of the hands of the bloody globalist neocons.
Besides, Putin, an avid lurker here, knows that as each passes, that more and more of the American People are waking up to the truth about the globalists' agenda.

Trump couldn't have made himself any clearer than he did last night that he has no intention of escalating our military action against Assad, let alone adopt the globalists' regime change agenda.

Trump has his enemies so turned around that they are ALL now praising him for the very same action which has just completely undermined their months-long effort to undo his Presidency.

This has been a BIGLY win, all around.

The attack shows that Trump is emotional like a woman.

He went against everything he claimed to stand for before the election--all because he saw some poisoned babies, the story goes--poisoned, in all probability, by the side he is explicitly supporting with this tactic. Even IF your claim that this attack was intended to indirectly weaken the true culprits is true, he has betrayed us.

Most Americans are sick of the US playing these military games under false pretenses. We should not go to war unless it is justified. If we do go to war, we go to war to win.

No matter how brilliant it is, this tactic is the same gunpowder politicking that the Military Industrial Complex has been serving up since at least the 1960's.
