Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74661623 What is the one that sounds like the "Lost in Space" robot? It's probably JORN, but not sure. JORN is an Australian OTHR system that operates uniquely in that it's radar bursts include an intro tone before the burst. [link to www.sigidwiki.com] or.. might be able to find it here.. [link to www.iarums-r1.org] Really not sure what it was.. This youtube channel has some really great videos on different signals. First ..The site is a tune-able receiver in certain bands, thus understood you can listen in on any frequency covered. I just so happens it covers LARGE portions of Military radio traffic and Regular, tests and urgent. I have noted the unusual activity that can only be compared with a seasoned users expertise. If you go there now you will only see one side of the story, what was there is not there now..It's different. :gfhfhgfh: So, basically, the 8992 frequency is being jammed by an unknown? What exactly is the 8992 frequency? Who broadcasts what on it? This site has a rundown with a cheat sheet of EAMs: [link to www.defconwarningsystem.com] OK thanks. So basically, all I have to do is go to the wide-band site, type in 8992, and listen? What about all the tick boxes and options? I posted this a couple times, but you will find this very handy!!! great tutorial to get you started with webSDR :) [link to peanutpower.co.uk] |

User ID: 51847734 United States 04/25/2017 06:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | did anyone just notice a horizontal line on the waterfall? Like a full spectrum burst for a millisecond? Quoting: Evolution16 yep, i see some interesting waterfall forms today Lightning!! Near websdr in Netherlands, but can be anywhere. Usually Europe strikes tho. :) (if horizontal across whole band) [link to en.blitzortung.org] If it's diagonal line then it is Ionosonde. They key the whole spectrum to test propagation. [link to www.sigidwiki.com] An Ionosonde (Also known as a chirpsounder or ionospheric sounder) is a radar that examines the Ionosphere and monitors HF propagation conditions by sweeping the HF band and receiving the echoes. Ionosondes sweep from 1-40Mhz. They send a line of very short pulses up the band. It looks like a slanted line when observed on a waterfall display. Ionosondes are examples of Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) based radar. Saw this posted in webSDR chat.. Kind of goes along with my earlier post. 2215z FLYNN: [link to www.ngdc.noaa.gov (secure)] | World Ionogram in real time |

They are making the area he is speaking @ the WH into a temp SCIF. Maybe the secure Capitol hill location isn't so secure. |
