The general idea of BIOS and CMOS are confounding to me. Quoting: Anselm How does the BIOS/CMOS manage hardware? The CMOS is just storage for the BIOS, correct? What analogy would you use to describe the interaction? Don't get too hung up on terms. For practical use they are the same thing. Think of the cmos and bios as being little embedded computers that run all of the hardware in an average desktop. |
