From the article...
But there's another reason why this group of scientists, while encouraging debate and public involvement, would be wary of attracting too much attention. Their project is an effort to synthesize DNA, including human DNA. Researchers will start with simpler organisms, such as microbes and plants, but hope to ultimately create strands of human genetic code.

The Bible - When you carry the Bible, Satan has a headache, when you open it, he collapses, when he sees you reading it, he loses his strength, AND when you stand on the Word of God, Satan can't hurt you!

Oh god .. I hope they remove the nagging-gene from the "all natural" sex dolls of the future.

Because that would be way too realistic.

The disobedience gene will be first on the chopping block...which is of course is tangentially connected to the nagging gene.

I totally believe in free will.
We would all use our free will to choose self over God unless he intervened. I know I sure did.

I think that would be the "unholy grail" for NWO types...a completely subservient unquestioning workforce....without the hassle of making us smartphones.

Re: Synthetic DNA - What could go wrong?
I believe that free will is actually one of the keys to this whole mess.

Take the world is a simulation theory, for example. Say there has been previous world simulations. The "gods" program things and watch it all unfold. Similar to how we play with computer simulations. Now, someone comes up with the idea of letting all of the beings within the simulation make their own choices - i.e. free will - and you have a completely brand new simulation. Like nothing that has ever been before.

And if you look closely at what the angels were bitching about in the split with "God" you'll see that a lot of their complaints hinged on the fact that we were made with free will. Whereas they were made to do God's bidding. They resented us. They hated what he did. They mutinied. They wanted freedom of choice...

The "gods" you are speaking of are lacking at least 3 attributes of YHWH: omniscience, omnipresence (which I infer based on a few scriptures to extend to time as well as space), which leads to immutability. It can be a pretty harsh read if you haven't made peace with the gospel of Christ yet....but the book of Job reveals quite a bit about the relationship between God and the role Satan plays in creation. He is not God's adversary. He is under God's authority and cannot do anything that God doesn't allow. We are going to get into some pretty deep spiritual waters going down this path...but I dig talking about God because he is awesome and I love him.
