Not a flare as it stayed the same height and speed for a couple of miles as they followed it. Then it just disappeared. Then, one of my buddy's dad said he and his brother was spotlighting deer (typical MS outlaws) and had turned out their lights to walk across an open field....about 1/4 ways in the field the entire area lite up from an unknown source. They were so scared they ran all the way back to their house over a mile away through the woods...and I know these men and they aren't scared of anything in the woods. Very interesting. |

I was about 3-4 when this happened. I never knew the story, but around that time, my parents and I were out at the reservoir. I was playing around on a swiing while they fished. I remember my mother getting excited about weird lights in the sky. I don't remember if I saw them or not, but my mother still talks about it. May not have been the same thing, but timeline works. IAs far as I know, this is accepted fact from the families and friends of those men. They had more to lose by telling than gain, I can't imagine a reason for a decent person to lie. |
