The Film Groundhog Day. How Long Do You Think Phil Was Stuck In The Loop?
I always thought maybe months or a year or two max.

According to the director and calculations made according to the skills he picked up, most say a minimum of 30+ years.

Originally, the script said 10,000 years.

I don't think I could take more than a few years but then suicide wasn't an option. It really was a living hell.

Me too. Never even crossed my mind to think he could have been in it so long. Now the despair is even more understandable.

Someone suggested there was going to be a library in the film where he would keep track of time by reading a page from a book every day. Then later it would show him as having read all the books they had.

Time out of mind.

Always was.

Always is.

Is now and always will be.
AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM:

KICKING ASS, KILLING NAZIS, KILLING COMMIES, MAKING BABIES, BUILDING CITIES, EXPLORING SPACE, GOING TO THE MOON, AND PUTTING THE "CIVIL" IN CIVILIZATION SINCE 1776!

But I tell you this man, I tell you this, I carry an aura of "fuck you" everywhere I go and while I may not cause scenes I can sure as hell continue them and escalate them but good.

There is going to be a second revolution folks.

Count on it - and it will be the citizens against the government.

It will be damn bloody. It will be a war of attrition. It will result in over 100 million dead.

The heavy handedness of the government - the fascists in code enforcement and animal control especially - have brought this upon themselves.

They were all in the loop.

Phil was the only one aware.

From everyone else's perspective, three days passed between February 1st and February 3rd.

From his perspective, years passed between those days. When he finally got out of the loop, he may have forgotten who half of his friends and acquaintances were. He may have forgotten to write that report he'd promised his boss only a day earlier. On February 1, he promised to take his mother to the doctor on the 3rd. When the 3rd finally came for him, after years and years of the 2nd, he'd long since forgotten. Maybe he blew off a date.
