(OP) User ID: 74830485 United States 05/12/2017 05:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Happy birthday. I've always wondered if that's you playing guitar. Quoting: Flyover County I'm a huge music fan. Would we know any of your work? Thank you! Nope. That's not me. That is Rickie Lee Jones. Who I can sing with like a mofo. I've always dug her beatnik persona and her relationship with Tom Waits. Must've been some times, heh? I played guitar in my youth, into my 40's (vintage Gibson 12 string) but haven't touched it for years. The girl is down in the basement, totally neglected. I'm hoping when I retire in a couple years to get back into all my old hobbies prior to the net. You know, sewing, crochet, embroidery, guitar, song/poetry, singing, pottery. All the shit us aging hippies used to do before we got all responsible and shit. :p |

No one loved it being my birthday more than me, except her. :) Very cool! What kind of radio shows? I worked with Jonathon Brandmeier back in Chicago as an "official citizen co-host" on the LOOP back in '98-99. I don't know how old you are or where you're from, but I grew up in Los Angeles County in the 60s/70s. The Real Don Steele was the DJ of the hour and rocked the airwaves for many years. Now, I live in southern Maine and come to find out our local collage radio station DJ (my age) at WMPG found a 33 rpm of Don back in the day and was hooked on the "Boss-Angeles" sound. That's what his show tries to emulate every saturday. I donate, so that affords me to sit in as co-host and pick the music choices. Here's a thread I started in 2014 for my first show. Thread: Give me your best 60's psychedelic songs Welp, I'm 58, originally from NYC, lived in Brunswick and played hockey there in the town center in front of Bowdoin College, and out on Baily's Island for a summer. These people, for their own selfish reasons, are unwilling to share them with the world.
