The Universe Explained, Introduction to the Yo-Yo Theory

Yes the universe is still in expansion mode.

When it reaches it's maximum potential (or absolute maximum) everything falls back to where it came from, like a yo-yo.

There is no such thing as infinite (8). Yes this idea is useful for mathematical loopholes, but that is about it.

What goes up most come down.

No one has really figured out the massive speed in which everything in the universe is moving. Until we figure out how gravity works in these chaotic conditions, we will struggle to find answers.

In fact this is what causes things to "drift" in outer space as well.
