Can I get an honest assessment please?

You don't have to feel shame for anything. Your life is yours to do whatever you choose or nothing at all. Others will always judge you and find fault no matter what you do and if you allow them they will enslave you to their will and steal all the joy of life. Be what you want to be, do what you want to do, and feel good about doing it.

I've gone through periods of unemployment because of a chronic depression that waxes and wanes.

This post right here is a good part of the reason why you feel so bad about yourself. But, your entire situation is the exact same one that literally millions of white males your age are facing.


You should not feel shame. You need to get more information so that you can gain insight into what is happening in the society in which you live.


The environment in which you live is enormously toxic to everyone but most especially young white males. It is 100% planned and orchestrated to be that way.

Stop looking at your life from the narrow perspective of your own personal experience and realize the environment in which you live from the top down, like you're a scientist studying microorganisms.

At this point in time college is a huge expense and as a white male will not result in your gaining employment.

Your best bet is getting into one of the building trades or some sort of business which you create for yourself.

White males have been systematically locked out of almost every single lucrative career path that there is.

Black and white females have been preferentially gifted with almost every single training program or job that there is.

That is one of the ways they can destroy the family unit.

Further it destroys the self-esteem and confidence of all white men, which is why they all hate women now. Just read comments on GLP if you doubt that.

Then you have the large contingency of women who like the above feel like they're really doin' something, without realizing how much they have been affirmative actioned and preferentially treated.

This society has been entirely socially engineered to make you feel exactly like you do and remain completely dependent on your parents or a woman to get through life.

It is not your fault. At all.

If you lived 50 years ago you'd be married with a couple of kids and a good job with lots of hope for the future.

The exact same guy you are now, you would be then if you lived then.

You are a victim, as are millions of others like you, of a system which was designed to destroy you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Believe it. It's true. Don't listen to the people here who try to put you down. Pray and try to learn a skill.

Thank you so much for this. I'm completely on board with everything you mentioned. I'm no doom expert, but I do know a good part of what is going on, but I have still found the shame hard to contend with.

If you happen to come back by, do you have any suggestions for a trade that will maintain its relevancy? I've considered plumbing in the past. I stick welded for a bit, but I heard a lot of guys say it is really hard on the eyes over the course of a career.

Plumbing seems like a good idea. Try to get into commercial plumbing not residential. So get into the pipe fitting seam fitting union. I hear there is more of a need for apprentice plumbers.

Everyone is trying to get into the electricians union, from what I hear.

Carptenters are always laid off.

HVAC you'll get in but you get laid off all the time and they don't make that much.

I would recommend that you try to be a stationary engineer.
The union is the International Union of Operating Engineers.
The IUOE.

The median pay is $59,400. It is not expected that there will be a change in the need for this occupation through 2024.

It's indoor work. No layoffs. You work in one place all the time. A lot of variety in what you might choose to do.

That's the one I would consider.

Hey, just keep going. Focus on what you do have and build on that. Helps me a lot when I get depressed.

If you are legally blind you can and should get SSDI. I paid taxes so people who need it would have those benefits.

Since you were disabled before 18yrs you get a boost to the income you get. Normally they calculate it based on taxes paid but in your case they do a different calculation.

You are also allowed to make up to 1000 a month working while drawing ssdi (approximately 1000).

No you are not a screwup. The whole planet is a mess. We have cocaine snorting pedos for leadership. Its like having a car, that you have to push everywhere. If we had actual intelligent people instead of criminals running things you would not even have to apply for a job. They would come looking for you. Its not your screwup. Its the psychos, whores, and black gods that keep screwing it up.

I've tried to get SSI, but the folks here in Florida keep telling me that since I can see with contact lenses (despite being legally blind without them) I don't qualify, but I did contact a disability lawyer and he said I had a good case. I'm not sure what the best move to make is.

DO NOT USE THE LAWYER.
You don't need him and most lawyers will intentionally make you wait two years so they get a bigger check from SSI.

Do it yourself. Legally blind=expedited.

If you fail, reapply. If you fail twice get the attorney.

If I recall, florida has the lowest approval rates in the country. You would do better if you have a cousin or someone in another state that would let you move in or at least camp out in their back yard. But again, the way I understand it should be a sure thing. Look up POMS (policy and operations manual) they have to do everything by the letter according to it and there is a list of conditions that get an immediate green light.

I was hoping they could collect the evidence and papers they needed to confirm the eyesight, but they didn't seem very capable (the government, that is).

I know it may seem no one understands and everyone else is luckier than you in life but it is far from being true. Go out and volunteer with some less fortunate maybe to give you some perspective.Like terminally ill people, old fogies, etc.

Find something you want to do, you would really enjoy doing as a career and come back here for advice on how to make it happen. It really is that simple. It may not happen overnight, but it can happen. I know because I have done it in my own life, against seemingly insurmountable odds.

Lastly, it always helps to ask the man upstairs for some help and assistance, which also seems to work for the faithful, but not for the unfaithful for some strange reason.
