Trey Gowdy Out as Possible FBI Director

Good... I've always said Trey Gowdy is all talk. Name one thing this guy has actually accomplished? You can look but you won't find anything. He periodically puts on a good show to make his constituents feel like he's actually doing what they sent him there to do. But it's nothing more than a show. He's not going to give up his nice cushy do nothing position, because he would actually have to do some real work as FBI Director.

I am withdrawing consideration for heading the agency at this time. Although being a fellow long-shot for the position, I believe Hawk-02 to be a viable candidate. He has a transponder. It's #9.

Heres my resume:

1987-1988 - Security guard (armed), I drew my weapon and pistol whipped a guy who beat up his girlfriend near my guard shack, then called the police. My manager gave me donuts and coffee.

Too bad, I really wanted Trey Gowdy to take the position. I can understand that he declined because he knew that he would not have support from both sides of the isle. Truly, the FBI director should be non-partisan if that is possible in the current political environment. But, I hope whoever it ends up being will take Hillary and the Clinton foundation down and make them pay for their crimes.

He didn't want to be the one that puts trump in jail

reading between the lines - he started as a lawyer, loves being a lawyer and does not enjoy the idea of hunting down the perps but rather enjoys the verbal banter back and forth of either defending perps or prosecuting them. either way he likes what he does and being a statesman is as close to being a lawyer as he can get to a job promotion from being a lawyer without making partner in a firm or starting his own firm. seriously not impuning the man's decision at all. he knows what he is good at, knows what he loves in terms of his profession, cant blame the man for it honestly. how many of us actually LOVE what we do??

Gowdy wants to go home to be with his family. I never thought he would take the job. We can all pray for a change though. Maybe he will reconsider.
