Look how this developed. Comey started 'leaking' after getting fired. TRUMP responded with a tweet saying Comey better hope there are no tapes of their conversation. TRUMP team plays coy about existence of tapes. Comey leaks snippets of a memo. Comey is trying to smoke out the existence of TRUMP tapes. TRUMP's comments as 'leaked' by Comey memo do not constitute an attempt to shut down an investigation. The FBI and AG have testified that no effort to stifle investigation have occurred. TRUMP really just needs to wait this one out. Chaffetz is going to subpoena Comey and his memo. |
