Quoting: Whiskey*Tango You know why so many dogs go without heart worm preventative? The heartworm med companies are banking $$$ while dogs are dying. I cannot afford heart guard, I'd spend $200 a month to treat my animals. Search the active ingredient in your heartworm preventative. There is a cheaper way. Then research the life cycle of a heartworm to understand the dosing necessary. I treat my dogs every 45 days and I'm still using the same medicine I bought 2 years ago for $25. I make heartworm med peanut butter sandwiches. No injection necessary. The meds are expensive and especially if you have a few animals. I pay $100.00 every 6 month for my dog's medicine. |
