BORAX sold in the cleaning products section of your local stores is great for killing the weeds. Do not use 'close' to any flowers/trees. BORAX also keeps ants away. The instructions for weeds: "...sprinkling borax into all the crevices where you've seen weeds grow. When applied around foundation of your home, it will also keep ants away..." Also, Borax good for many other things around the house.

Tried the borax with PB in cap & borax/water/fake sugar last week.
Verdict not yet it.

I was mixing several packets Equal aspartame with honey,,and it does not seem to work as well as the borax mixture. the ants loved it though...

Ants can't process flour.
Sprinkle it around their nest.
They will eat it, but they can't digest it.
It will build up in their bodies and they will starve to death.

ants only move around in times of weather change/rain, or building a new nest.

just sprinkle cornflour( some people use talcum powder)across the trail( or where theyre coming in) if their inside.. the hate walking through it.

no need to kill them.

also ants will find food if they get in, but 99 per cent of the time theyre just taking direct line to where they want to go if food isnt the cause.

I once had a line of ants trailing under a door from the outside down a hallway through the lounge into the back porch and out the back door...rather bothersome but i just sprinkled cornflour acroos the threshold they were coming in from and let the ones remaining in the house follow the leader out the back door.

Had ants streaming from the kitchen window to the countertop for days. Couldn't even use the counter.

Sprinkled some cinnamon on the counter, haven't seen an ant in a whole month. One application of cinnamon and they're gone, cleaned the cinnamon up after the first day.

Worked faster and just as good as that Terro ant bait.

Thanks for this, its good to know. I've used Borax to get rid of roaches, it really does a number on them.

it will kill the entire colony, GONE in a day or two.

The ants eat it then take it back to the nest and feed it to everyone and then about a day later they all die.

Yes, they serve their purpose outside and can even be beneficial, but I have fire ant mounds in backyard and it's a bitch when kids get eaten up.

PB and borax didn't work on fire ants. Will try flour and straight up fake sugar next. I did the liquid borax n sugar n sweet n low, but the ants just moved :/
