Ramadan - it's the most holy month of the year.

Those who worship Allah receive bonus grace for committing Jihad against the unbelievers, and more likely to get into heaven in this month than any other of the year.

In fact it's a sure thing according to the Qua-ran.

Everyone (including the people of the book) who does not submit to Allah through Islam are Kaffir - filthy, detested by Allah and Mohammed, and are destined to hell after their life long sin and offence.

So to the faithful - preventing the kaffir from continuing to sin is a good side effect of waging Jihad. They're helping to reduce the sin in the world and to Allah.
