It's a mineral, like salt, which many folks have too little of in their bodies. I've only had Wiener Schnitzel once at a German restaurant and really liked it but not a fan of gravy Well, it's an oniony, buttery, winey type gravy, not the traditional kind. I normally don't include it but this time I did & it came out real tasty. The Alaskan Sockeye Salmon filets you made sound excellent, also. Whenever I buy the wild salmon, I always under cook it a little because it tends to be more lean than the farmed kind & toughens up quicker. I don't know what your own experience has been. I know the farmed kind sometimes isn't the healthiest choice but if I ever need any, I go to a whole foods type of place for it. Better safe than sorry .. nothing is guarunteed in life, that is for sure. |

Then after it's ladled up, I put in a pat of amish butter. It's one of my favorites and will be going away soon until next year. |

Then added 10 red potatoes, a chopped up red onion (which is actually purple)...and a can of mushrooms.
