Not theirs maybe but I can't tell the difference. Ingredients: 4 strips thick cut bacon 1 onion 1 lb hot Italian sausage 4 cans chicken broth 1 lb potatoes, sliced 1 small heavy whipping cream 1 bunch kale (remove stems) Salt and Pepper to taste Directions: In large soup pot cook bacon and drain off all but 1 tablespoons of oil. Move bacon to sides and put in diced onion and stir. Add sausage and cook until done. Drain. Add broth and potatoes and cook until potatoes are done. Add kale and cook for 3 more minutes and add cream and salt and pepper and stir and taste. My favorite wintertime soup. ========================== Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. |

That sounds like typical Portuguese and Galician Kale soup, or as they call it, "Caldo Verde" except without the cream.+9 Galician & Portuguese culture is actually Celtic and not hispanic. The Roman/Latin culture mixed with the Celtic culture producing one really amazing region of the earth. |
