Quit your lying propaganda. When it comes to any of these problems you're going after the symptom anyway, not the disease - which is societal and has nothing to do with drugs. Quit being a lying tard. There are 6 people I can think of from my high school class that are dead now. One was from a car accident, one was suicide, and the other 4 were overdoses. I don't know anyone who died from NSAIDs. Oh also... the suicide was via opiates. |

Yes, NSAIDs suck, but when the primary cause of death for your working population in this country is drug overdose....HELLO, it's an issue. |

TOLD
User ID: 74905316 United States 06/10/2017 06:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just heard another overdose on the scanner. Narcan administered. Respiration shallow, transporting with parent onboard. Quoting: R. Wordsworth As some of you may know, I'm a scanner junkie. A tweaker, as the cops refer to us. When I first got a scanner years ago, an OD in my lily-white suburban town was a once a year occurrence, and usually due to an out-of-towner probably from providence shacking up in a local hotel. In the past couple of years, it became more and more common. First, once a month. Then a few times a month. It's almost every fucking day now. Somtimes twice a day. A friend of mine who's a cop says in Providence, many ambulance crews spend their entire day going from one OD to another to administer narcan, often to someone whom they have already pulled back from the brink of death... sometimes more than once. The junkies, ripped from the jaws of death by paramedics, often respond in a fit of rage against their saviors since when they come out of it they are stone cold sober, their high stolen by the narcan they administered. HOW THE FUCK DO WE FIX THIS??? I like my scanner too. But my city & country are encrypted. I do get the cesspool city down the road, ATX & Travis county. It's a felony I think for me to possess hardware and or software for decryption. I hear a lot of OD's going on when I do listen to ATX. The other thing I hear quite often is a "no contact" request. Which kinda squashes the theory that illegals can't report crimes for fear of deportment. Obviously they might not report a crime whereas they may be a victim, but anyone can call the cops and report anything and do a "no contact" request and never see a LEO. |

I do get the cesspool city down the road, ATX & Travis county. It's a felony I think for me to possess hardware and or software for decryption. I don't even think there's a statute for that, but the real problem would be finding the hardware and or software to do it. AES is not easy to break, it would be easier to become a reserve cop yourself and get a legit radio than it would be to break the encryption if it's not something you are trained to do. There aren't off the shelf decryption devices just floating around for sale. You would need a custom designed computer costing thousands or tens of thousands of dollars, with custom written software. If you constructed a device capable of real time 256 bit decryption and got caught, the NSA would probably recruit you before you made it to trial. You could probably just buy a P25 capable radio and try tuning in with whatever the default encryption key is, I wouldn't be surprised if it worked. The United States nuclear launch codes used to be "00000000". But here's the problem, P25 radios often communicate back to the repeater they are listening to... and that would be a mega major felony if you got caught... and you just might because your radio would become a homing beacon and leave digital tracks on the system you were monitoring. |
